Tom Lindmark spent a number of years working in the banking industry focusing primarily on project finance and, for a time, mezzanine lending. When Tom discovered that he was a pretty good banker but a very bad player of company politics, he struck out on his own and ended up in real estate, primarily on the financial side of the business. Tom's educational background includes degrees in economics and international business.

Tom began writing a blog in March 2008 at the behest of a real estate company with which he does some work. Their recent new web site design did not include a blog and he found that he had become addicted to blogging. So here he is, after bouncing around trying to find the right platform back to blogging.

Tom tends to write about things that interest him, and generally that has something to do with finance, real estate, politics (to the extent it applies to the economy) and trends that he thinks might have more of a long term impact.
