Sean is an incoming high school senior who is highly interested in finance and the workings of the stock market in particular -- he lives in suburban Long Island and thoroughly enjoys reading various financial periodicals, among other things.

Sean's approach to stocks is rather unglamorous -- he focuses on carefully poring over SEC filings and piecing together a prognosis for a certain equity. Major factors taken into account include market sentiment regarding the sector of said security, the competitiveness of the equity relative to its peers, and occasionally cases of compelling valuation.

Sean is currently focused on distressed companies -- bond insurers, mortgage insurers, and the like. He recognizes that sifting through battered companies in search of value can yield fantastic results -- and recognizes that the market can act irrationality, and strives to focus on fundamentals rather than amorphous and fickle market sentiment. Despite this, he recognizes the validity of price action in most cases and incorporates this into his analysis, even if it does not reconcile with reality at times.

Sean lives with his mother, father and sister, and has a nephew and newborn niece.
